What You Get
Western Package vs. Buying It Yourself
Most suppliers sell you a truss quote, then send you somewhere else for steel, then somewhere else for columns. Here’s what one Western package actually covers.
| What’s Included | Western Package | Typical Supplier |
|---|---|---|
| Custom-engineered trusses (spans up to 86′) | Sometimes | |
| Site-specific snow, wind & seismic engineering | ||
| Steel roofing & siding panels (45+ colors) | Separate order | |
| Laminated columns with 60-year structural warranty | Separate vendor | |
| Treated splash boards | ||
| Full deluxe trim package (ridge cap, corner trim, J-channel, drip edge) | Extra cost | |
| All fasteners & closure strips | Extra cost | |
| Door & window framing included | ||
| Delivered on our own flatbeds with onboard forklift | Freight carrier | |
| Single invoice, single call |
What’s in a Western Building Package
Every building in our catalog ships as a complete materials package — not a parts list you have to source yourself. When your order arrives on one of our flatbed trucks with an onboard forklift, everything you need to close in the structure is on the trailer, organized and ready for your crew.
That means custom-engineered trusses manufactured at our Wheatland, Wyoming facility (we build spans up to 86 feet), steel roofing and siding panels in your choice of 45+ colors including wood-print finishes, laminated columns with a 60-year structural warranty, treated splash boards, a full deluxe trim package (ridge cap, corner trim, J-channel, rat guard, drip edge), all fasteners and closure strips, and framing for every door and window opening. Every package is engineered for the specific snow load, wind load, and seismic requirements at your build site — not a generic design that might not pass inspection in your county.
What’s not included: concrete, site prep, labor, overhead door units, electrical, and plumbing. Your contractor handles those — or we can connect you with one through our Contractor Network.
Building a barndominium? Our barndominium materials guide covers what a complete post-frame kit includes — from structural framing to steel panels to finish trim.
How Western Building Packages Work
Start by browsing the buildings above or getting a price if you’re ready to spec something out. When you find the right fit, click “Get a Price” and fill out a short questionnaire with your location, steel gauge, colors, and options. That submission goes directly to a Western team member who loads your configuration into our quoting system and calls you back with a real number, not a range.
From there, we engineer the package for your specific site, manufacture the trusses and steel at our facility, and deliver on our own trucks. Most packages ship within 4–6 weeks depending on the season. We deliver across Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas.
Not Sure What Size You Need?
The most common question we get is “how big should I build?” The answer depends on what you’re parking, storing, or living in — call or email us and we’ll help you narrow it down to 2–3 buildings that fit. If you already know the size but want to compare costs across the range, our get-a-price tool gives you a real number based on your location, gauge, and options.
Still in the early research phase? Our pole barn cost guide breaks down what drives pricing across different sizes, gauges, and regions before you commit to a quote request.
